For a period towards the end of last year and beginning this year, I would watch a lot of cable TV. That ended when my family returned from India. I feel a lot better now without having to listen to the commentators making feeble remarks on important topics. There is so little original thought that it amazes me.

The market is on its way up. Thank God for that. Only because that
distraction is out of the way. Of course your 401K doesnt make good
reading either.

A lot of us migrated here because of the freedom we get. No other country in the world provides this. This single factor supersedes every other, in my opinion. Freedom is all we have to make a future and we get it here. Noone can push you around because of your color, hairstyle or amulet.

But, there is something to be said about the society. I guess you cant have it both ways . . .

You get what you deserve?

The quality of news programming in America is an example of the many paradoxes of this country. How can people put up with shit like this? That too here.

My corp finance professor at MBS talked about two things that had a relation. One is that rent you pay for a house and the price of the house. The second is the price of a share with relation to the future earnings of a company.

Both of course dont make much sense, in my opinion, in the real world. But for different reasons I think. People get emotional about a house.

And for many people its their single biggest asset. A pity that we dont live with our parents . . .

As for the stock market, it really isnt for the individual investor anymore, hasnt been for a long time . . .

San Francisco is probably the best city I have visited in the United States. The weather plays a part I guess, but so does the people, the pace and the food. Walking back after a meal over one of them hills is a bit much.

Muir Woods

Eating at Shalimar

Loving it

It might be extended to 2 months, maybe . . .
